Mrs Ann Newton (St Anne's Close) and Mrs Annie Tappenden (Uppingham) receive their Community Hero award from Dr Sarah Furness the Lord Lieutenant of Rutland, with the High Sheriff of Rutland David Wood also in attendance.
The two residents of SJSA were put forward for this award almost 12 months ago, for their efforts within the local community during the Covid crisis of 2020. Unfortunately the original award ceremony was postponed because of the third lockdown period, and so it was not until 15th September 2021 that their efforts could be fully recognised.
